Victoria Varela, Varela Media
Advisor - Victoria Varela started her career in the NBC Mailroom at 30 Rock. Soon after, David Letterman brought her in to his Emmy Award winning, Late Night with David Letterman while completing her degree at the New School of Social Research. Varela also helped launch the early years of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, later re-joining Letterman at CBS.
The new millennium took Victoria to Columbia Records where she worked on the publicity campaigns of Barbra Streisand, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, The Dixie Chicks, Billy Joel, John Mayer, Neil Diamond to name a few. By the mid-aughts she was hired by PMK/HBH Public Relations in New York, one of the foremost publicity agencies in the entertainment industry, as an Account Executive. Under the venerable Pat Kingsley, Victoria represented Warren Beatty, and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. Varela’s roster also included Harry Connick, Jr., IL DIVO, Kathy Griffin, Sam Moore, Donna Summer, Bob Harper, Gloria Estefan, and many others. A red carpet staple, Victoria also worked PMK/HBH’s major corporate accounts (TONY Awards, The View, etc)
For the last twelve years she has been at the helm of Varela Media, managing a very select stellar client roster that includes Barry Manilow, Gloria Estefan, Randy Rainbow, Liza Minnelli, Frankie Valli, Jordin Sparks, Erich Bergen, the historic Stonewall Inn, amongst others.
